Cargill Community Scholarship Recipient:

A well deserving student was recently awarded the Cargill Community Scholarship. With his award a $200.00 donation was given to the School Library Media Center. After much consideration Mrs. Greene and Mrs. Fazio decided upon a beautiful new bookcase for the reading area of the library. The book case was purchased from locally owned and operated “The Amish Connection” and will be used to feature new literature, special collections, and suggested or recommended works of literature. We are very pleased with our new addition as it adds both esthetic quality and functionality to an already beautiful space. Thank you for your effort in attaining the Cargill Scholarship!! We are truly grateful for your hard work resulting in funding for the School Library Media Center!

Thank you to Girl Scout Brownie Troop 142 for their generous donation of the book "Zink the Zebra" to our library collection. It was wonderful to have you visit our library and give us this special gift.
{North Country Reads}
Copenhagen Book Club students with author Diana Abu-Jaber at Lowville High School North Country Reads event. These girls created a book club with Mrs. Greene utilizing the North Country Reads selection for 2008 "The Language of Baklava". The girls read the book, discussed the literature, attended a book reading and signing, and personally met the author. Way to get involved ladies!!
